Mariah Carey Replaces Jennifer Lopez as 'American Idol' Judge

It's been rumored ever since Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler made their exits last week, but now it's official. Mariah Carey will be joining her manager Randy Jackson on the American Idol judging panel for a rumored $17 million.
My thoughts? I think she'll be a welcome addition to the show. We know she has one of the best voices to ever grace this planet, so it'll be interesting to see how understanding she is, and how diva-like she'll be towards the contestants. I have a gut feeling she'll have no tolerance for the foolery that always occurs in the beginning stages of the season. And even when it gets down to the top 10 etc., I think she'll be highly critical. And we already know she's ridiculously shady so that should be fun too.

Below is Mariah Carey's 2006 Grammy's performance of her super smash single "We Belong Together" as well as a favorite of mine, "Fly Like A Bird." Just felt like posting this. Enjoy.
