Days ago, Rick Ross released “3 Kings,” a Jake One-produced single from his forthcoming album, God Forgives, I Don’t (July 31). Truth be told, I wasn’t anticipating the record, and I was hesitant about posting (obviously).

Ross has recited practically the same verses for the past three years, over the same Lex Luger-esque beat, and Jay-Z still feels the need to remind listeners that he’s worth more money than every patron seated in his arena–combined. So what is the incentive to listen? To hear Dr. Dre shamelessly plug his fashionable headphones?

Apparently when former drug dealers boast about spending $20K for a court-side seat to watch Lebron James sweat, blowing $150 million in less than three years and what their 6-month-old daughter can afford (that you can’t), it makes it “classic hip hop sh*t,” and you should care.
