Chris Brown Suffers Mis-Fortune With First Week Album Sales
Chris Brown’s fifth studio album, Fortune, is set to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with sales around 125-140K, over 100K less than his previous release. These numbers seem relatively low, considering Chris has done a considerable amount of promotion for the album.
Apparently, media blitzes, radio-friendly singles, free music and having your name in headlines for all the wrong reasons do not necessarily yield high album sales, even if you’re backed by a seemingly loyal fan base. Even Chris himself is confused by “Team Breezy.”
