Kendrick Lamar ‘Swimming Pools (Drank)’ [Video]

 

Kendrick Lamar may be unwise to the political process, but he’s certainly wise when it comes to crafting music and the videos that accompany his songs. He unveils the drunken video for “Swimming Pools (Drank),” the latest single from his major-label debut, good kid, m.A.A.d. city.

The video, directed by Jerome D., pretty much follows the song’s concept and tells the story of drinker’s plight. K.Dot plays the part of a well-dressed alchy, detailing the good and bad effects of consuming alcohol–casually and excessively.

The good: you grab the attention of a beautiful girl (she is dancing for him, right?) because you’re Dr. Dre’s protégé; the bad: you don’t remember anything the following day because you’re still inebriated.
