iFind a Skateboard!
You will want to find a skateboard that is in somewhat good condition for a more enjoyable ride and smooth transition into your ollie.

Step 2Find a flat/smooth surface to skate on!

iFind a flat/smooth surface to skate on!
For someone first trying to learn how to ollie I have found it best to be on flat level ground. The less cracks and rocks on this surface the better.

Step 3Place feet in proper position!

iPlace feet in proper position!
You will want your dominate foot to be on the tail (back) of the skateboard with the other foot just shy of the front screws of the skateboard.

Step 4Oh the complications!

iOh the complications!
This next step is the hardest and will come to you easier with the more practice you put into it. It is best not to over think while attempting an ollie this could lead to injury.  With your back foot you will want to push down,  right when the tail of the skateboard hits the ground you want to jump up in the air slightly and slide your front foot foward.

Step 5The landing!

iThe landing!
Now that you are in the air you just need to place both feet over the board, the best place being right on top of the screws of the skateboard and land balanced

iHow to Ollie
An ollie is one of the most basic moves. it is when you jump up in the air and get all four wheels in the air.

Step 1Position

iPosition
Front foot inbetween the two sets of nails. Back foot on the tail.

Step 2Lean and Jump

iLean and Jump
put your weight on your back foot. Jump up while pushing down on your back foot. Your front truck should go up first. (Like in the picture below)

Step 3Slide

Slide your front foot across the board. this will straighten your board so it's level. (optional)

Step 4Landing

The landing is easy just move your foot back to the board from where you slid it. Don't bother working on your position you can get that back to normal position on land.

Step 5Random Tips

iRandom Tips
-Don't lean back at the beginning just put tour weight on it.
